A compact replacement breakaway switch for trailers equipped with electric brakes. Choose the coiled-cable length that best fits your trailer setup while reducing excess cable drag and tangling.

• Three cable-length options: 4 ft (OE21842), 6 ft (OE21843) and 8 ft (OE21844).
• Outdoor-ready construction: ABS switch housing, stainless steel mounting plate and a coated braided-steel coiled cable.
• Coiled cable design: Helps keep the cable off the road and reduces tangling during normal towing.
• Compact switch body: Approximately 4.33 x 1.70 x 0.83 in, with approximately 1.8 ft black lead wires.

Installation Overview

1. Mount the switch securely on the trailer.
2. Connect one switch lead to the breakaway battery positive circuit and the other to the trailer brake circuit according to the trailer or brake-system instructions.
3. Attach the coiled cable to a secure point on the tow vehicle so it can activate the switch if the trailer separates.

Important: Use only with a properly functioning trailer breakaway braking system. Test the system before towing. Route the cable so it does not drag and is not pulled during normal turning.
